Home Page
Welcome! CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, is Europe's most successful consumer association with over 160,000 members. It fights to save Britain's pub heritage and campaigns for a wide choice of tasty traditional beers and ciders. The Gloucestershire branch covers the GL1 to GL20 and GL50 to GL53 postcode areas. Postcode areas GL54 to GL56 are now covered by a separate North Cotswold Branch.

We plan to use this home page to show news items about pubs and beer in the Branch area, ahead of publication in the Tippler. So if you have any hot news items, please email them to our webmaster.

Judging took place at the recent Cotswold Beer Festival. OSM from Cotswold Spring won the title, with Nibley Ale from Severn Vale second, and Cascade from Gloucester third.

On 1st September, the Cheltenham sub-branch will become a full branch of CAMRA, covering postcodes GL50 to GL53, becoming the third branch in Gloucestershire. Gloucestershire Branch will continue to cover the remainder of its current territory, ie postcodes GL1 to GL20, and retain its existing sub-branch structure. North Cotswold branch (postcodes GL54 to GL56) is unaffected by the change.

CAMRA members may read the minutes of recent branch business and annual general meetings, and also our annual newsletter to Gloucestershire Branch members.

Cheltenham, Dursley, Gloucester and Tewkesbury sub-branches all have their own web-sites.

CAMRA's new online guide to pubs throughout the UK is now available.
