Build in 1836, it is the oldest pub in
Cinderford. Now family-run, it is very
much a locals' local. There are all the
usual pub games with no less than four
skittles teams - one of which is for the
disabled. There are two bars - one of
which is for games and includes a pool
table - and a separate eating area. The
pub has an annual charity week that
helps local causes and this typifies the
community strength of the pub.

A cheerful locals' pub situated in the
centre of town. Separated into two bar
areas, the first comprising a
traditional drinkers' bar and an
attached lounge bar. The second, a games
room catering for pool and darts
players. Two regular mini beer festivals
are currently held in December and April
usually featuring ales from around
Gloucestershire. Crib is also played and
live music is performed once a month.
Children welcome before 1800.
