Cotswold Brewing is an independent producer of lager and speciality beers. The brewery
was established in 2005 in Oxfordshire but moved to Bourton in 2010. Brews beer for the Compass
Brewery in Oxford. Bottle-conditioned beer is also available.
The driveway to the brewery is opposite the Coach & Horses on the Stow Road (A429).
Cotswold Beers
- Three Point Eight Lager (ABV 3.8%)
- A pleasing floral hoppiness matched with a subtle smooth flavour that
delivers a surprisingly complex and long lasting taste sensation. Brewed with
Cascade amd Soveriegn hops.
- Lager (ABV 4.0%)
- Our session, easy drinking laget that is light and delicate with floral aromas
and flavours. Drink and think of citrus fruits, mangos and elderflowers. Brewed
with Amarillo and Sovereign hops.
- Autumn Lager (ABV 4.0%)
- Autumn is naturally golden in colour with the subtle tastes of autumnal fruitiness
and a satisfying bitter sweetness. Just right on a fresh autumn evening and a
perfect compliment to seasonal dishes such as steak & oyster pie or a thick warming
pumpkin soup. Brewed with Styrian Gold and Super Styrians hops.
- Wheat Beer (ABV 4.2%)
- This a lighter English take on the traditional Bavarian wheat beer style
making it perfect session drink. It has hints of banana, vanilla and mango
and is served naturally cloudy because the yeast and wheat haze has not been
filtered out. Brewed with Cascade & Sovereign hops.
- Premium Lager (ABV 4.2%)
- Refreshingly dry with a pleasing hoppiness balanced with a hit of sweetness.
A true Premium lager that is packed full of taste and complex flavours in the
style of a Pilsner lager. Brewed with Liberty and Sovereign hops.
- Dark Lager (ABV 5.3%)
- Darkly and warmly inviting with all the bitterness and hoppiness of a
proper lager it also possess a subtle chocolate and toffee flavour that makes
it very moorish. Brewed with Sovereign and Bramling Cross & Cascade hops.
For Compass Brewery
- Baltic Night Stout (ABV 4.8%)
A well-balanced roasted bitterness as well as a hoppy aroma. A high
percentage of roasted barley gives a hint of coffee and a long, dry
cocoa finish.
- Isis Pale Ale (ABV 4.9%)
Malty aromas on a backdrop of distinct Cascade hops. Sweet malt with
fruity esters and a gentle bitterness that lingers.
- The King's Shipment (ABV 6.0%)
Strong IPA with hoppy bitterness balanced with malty sweetness. Based on
East London Bow Brewery's IPA brewed in the 1790s for shipment to India.
