Freeminer brewery was founded by Don Burgess in 1992, has grown to be one of the
vanguard of the quality bottled beers revival. The 40-barrel brewery changed hands in 2006
but Don remains in charge. Bottle-conditioned beers are available at the Co-op (with barley grown on Co-op farms).
The brewery is a member of SIBA.

A light, hoppy session bitter with an intense hop aroma and a dry, hoppy

malt and hops on the palate and a dry, hoppy finish.
