The Inn is on the original packhorse
trail to Bristol, which is now a
footpath and bridleway. The road at the
front of the inn became a turnpike in
1822 and the weighbridge served the
local mills. Today the pub is known for
its "2-IN-1" pies. Inside there are many
exposed beams and open log fires provide
winter warmth. The guest beer is usually
from a local brewery. Children and dogs
welcome.
