The Village Inn, which reopened in late
2006 as the Nailsworth Brewery brewpub
is unrecognisable from the inn, which
closed in the mid 1990s - an ugly
duckling reborn as a swan. An intricate
warren of rooms and spaces has been
created with care and flair, salvaged
furniture and fittings combined with new
joinery. All it lacks is the patina of
age. Don't miss the superb poster of the
former Nailsworth brewery on the stairs
down to the loos and brewhouse. Stroud
CAMRA sub-branch Pub of the Year 2008.
