Traditional village local with a
friendly atmosphere, looking southwards
over the valley above Nailsworth. Three
separate chimneys indicate that the
building was originally three cottages.
It became a pub in 1820 and was renamed
in 1910 to honour the incoming George V.
There is a small patio at the front and
limited car parking. The award-winning
chef uses only fresh ingredients and
even the bread rolls are homemade. The
imaginative food is keenly priced with
chicken piri-piri a superb house
speciality. Food is served in the bar or
in a small separate restaurant (booking
essential).
