Licensed since 1695, the pub is the
second oldest inn in Thornbury. Dogs are
welcome in the public bar, which was the
original pub. The more recent lounge
includes the dining area, offering
locally sourced home-cooked food,
including pies. The garden includes a
boules piste and a children's play area.
The pub is the base for the newly formed
CAMRA Bristol and Avon sub-branch called
Severn Vale. Dogs with their owners
welcome.

park. A bar, frequented by locals and a
lounge with a real fire. Very popular
with rugby fans when shown on TV. A
separate pool room, skittle alley and
large garden with petangue piste. Guinea
pigs are kept in the garden. Seasonal
cider festivals feature over some bank
holiday weekends. The pub can get quite
lively at busy times.
