This cosy red brick pub, formerly an
iron foundry, is next door to an old
smithy. A huge inglenook fireplace is
set off by hops hanging on the beams,
polished flagstones and a Cotswold Stone
bar counter. One annexe is full of
interesting books, photos and board
games; another is a dining area, where
regular themed food nights are held. The
pub has a small front terrace
overlooking the church. A back courtyard
leads to the garden. Aunt Sally played
in the car park (75 yards from pub).
