The Rising Sun is a 350-year old
stone-built country pub with spectacular
views over the Forest of Dean. The
accommodation comprises a large bar with
an open fire and a small snug, both of
which feature a part of the landlord's
large collection of framed banknotes.
Featured in the circular pub walks of
the Forest, the pub is very popular with
walkers. A friendly atmosphere, a good
varied menu of home cooked food, the
speciality being the famous Dragon Pie.
There is no food on Mondays.
